A Respone to Sudareth Kumar's post on Euthanasia

It is so hard to find someone that I agree with on euthanasia. I believe that people have the right to determine their lives. This includes their death.

You know what just kills me (no pun intended) about people that use religous excuses for why their against euthanasia. Their contradictory. If someone wants an abortion...they say "Abortion is against God's will. That child is supposed to be born and it is a sin to interfere with God." If someone wants to stop life support for a loved one that has stated that that's what they want, religious crazies say "You do not deserve the right to decide life or death." The problem is that keeping people on life support IS interfering with God's will. If God intended for that person to survive on their own, he/she would have. Taking medication or getting chemotherapy interferes with God's will. I believe in life support, chemotherapy, medicine, whatever. For the person that wants it.

I had read a case in my ethics class about a man that got in an accident and was set on fire and it gave him severe burns in which he was about to die, if it wasnt for life support and a severely painful procedure that he had to go through daily. He begged them to let him die. Begged. And no one let him. I think that denying someone the right to die (especially in peace and respectfully) is one of the most inhumane things in the world.
